Lunta is a stranded colorwork sweater worked from the top down, in the round and without seams.

It’s ideal for beginners in stranded colorwork, as the pattern have been designed so that you don’t have to cross yarns.

Material

  •  about 745 (865, 985, 1120) [1200, 1430, 1530] yds/680 (790, 900, 1020) [1100, 1300, 1400] m. of fingering weight yarn (color 1)
  •  about 275 (295, 350, 440) [470, 510, 570] yds/250 (270, 320, 400) [430, 465, 520] m. of fingering weight yarn (color 2)
  • 1 marker
  • 3.5mm (US4) circular needle or size to obtain gauge
  • 3mm (US2½) circular needle
  • Needles or scrap yarn for put stitches on hold

 

Gauge

23 sts and 32 rds = 4″ x 4″/10 cm x 10 cm in stockinette stitch and 3.5mm (US4) circular needle.

 

Sizes

XS (S, M, L)[XL, 2XL, 3XL] for a final bust circumference of 34¾ (39¾, 42½, 47¼) [50¾, 53½, 58¼]”/88.5 (101, 108, 120) [129, 136, 148] cm.

Positive ease: +6″/15 cm.

 

The sample was knitted in By night dyes, Sirius (75% bfl,25% gotland, 350 m. for 100g).
